home

Great to be home - many hours in airports and airplanes yesterday.

Good thing we can all relax, now that the elections are over, and there weren't any major oddities. Hang on, what do we see here?

Hmmmm - according to official Connecticut FEC postings, the number of people who voted for Ned Lamont in 2006 (2nd place to Lieberman) was the EXACT number of people who voted for Lieberman's REPUBLICAN challenger (who came in 2nd) in 2000.

Those wacky Connecticutians! You just never know.

Let me repeat: you just never know (and that's the point).

Well, good Doctor, I am sure there's nothing but coincidence here. Just like with WTC building 7 falling down LOOKING like an extremely well-executed demolition. Or like the 18,000 non-votes in Sarasota a little south of me here in Florida ...and coincidently the Republican appears to be squeaking through. Or like Bob Gates overseeing the sale of arms to Iran and Iraq and the Contras and massaging all manner of intelligence data ...and now being nominated by Chimpy to take over for Rumsfeld ...on the other hand, the Gates nomination is NOT a coincidence ...obviously Chimpy needs someone with solid experience in skewing intelligence to fit the political needs...just as he changed the intelligence reports on Iran to allow sale of weapons to Saddam back then.

I kind of start to wonder if anyone in office should be impeached as soon as they get elected so that we can keep the dishonest folks out ...but I guess that wouldn't work so well either, eh ;-)

Yes, the 18,000 people in Sarasota, who showed up to vote for local bond issues, but had no interest in casting a vote for their US Representative, do present a bit of a 'mystery'.

Must have been some leftover logic from the prior vote for that position. There's probably a completely reasonable explanation for this....
